Friday Faves!!

Another week down!  We've been thouroughly enjoying the great weather Michigan has been giving us this week.  Fall is treating us well so far.

Last Saturday I went antiquing with my mother-in-law.  She picked me up at 9....but we quickly learned that nothing opened until 10.  Haha!  So, we did what any intelligent women would do....we found a bakery!

Once 10 o'clock rolled around, we got busy!  My first find was this adorable sign that matches my red kitchen perfectly.  I was so excited when I spotted it!  (Y'all know I love my chickens!)

I also scored this piece of furniture for our kitchen.  I've been wanting something there forever.  It works perfect!  Still not completely sure what I'm going to do with it.  I'm leaning towards using it partially for a little coffee bar.....what do you think?

Jason finished painting the lower level!  We're still waiting on the insurance company before we shop for flooring, but it's exciting to have this part done.  He had a couple helpers to help him put the railing back up.

I made my first batch of my Chocolate Chip Pumpkin Bread for the season.  This stuff is soooo good.  And dangerous!  You should definitely try it!!  For real....I don't toot my own horn too often, but....
*toot toot!*

The weather has been gorgeous this week!  We've been spending every afternoon outside this week.  So nice to be outside and not get eaten alive by mosquitoes!

I've been wanting to learn more about Essential Oils for awhile now and when I found a booth at a local health fair here, I decided it was time to have a little informative party.  My friend Katy has also expressed interest so I figured it would be something fun for her and I to do together.  We had a great time and learned a lot of stuff, but we all know a party isn't a party without food.  Good food.  Lots of good food.

Katy and I may have gone a little overboard.

I made my Goat Cheese Bruschetta, Baked Brie with my Hot Pepper Jelly and brownies.  Katy made Cowboy Caviar, Stuffed Mini Peppers and Dill Pickle Dip.  Seriously it was ahhhh-mazing.

We had so much fun!!

That's all I've got for this week!  Hope everyone had a great first full week of October!  We're loving fall over here!!
