Friday Favorites!

Let's get right to it, yo!  Here are five things going on in my neck of the woods....

[one]

This guy.

This guy is turning 5 on Saturday.
FIVE!

Five.  That's a big deal.

He's halfway to 10, people!!
I just can't even believe it.
(keep your eye out for a birthday post soon!)

As you may or may not know, I love cooking.  I've had two separate blogs for awhile now.  This one and my food blog, The Carnitarian Family.  Well, I've decided that I'm going to stop posting recipes on my food blog (although I will still leave it up and active) and just use this blog for everything, recipes included.  It will make my (blogging) life a bit easier.  Check out my recipe for Falafel I posted earlier this week!

Family pictures!

We had family pictures taken a few weeks ago and I'm so happy with them!  We get them taken every year, but, as I'm sure many of you know, kids are not always the most cooperative.  Check this post out to see more from our session!

Superhero Training Camp

Our local Children's Museum hosted a  Superhero Training Camp last weekend.  Marie and her adorable kids were there as well as some other friends.

Of course, I didn't get a photo of my two while they were both in their super hero get-up.  Ashlyn took hers off pretty quickly.  I did get quite a few pictures of them eating chips though...

The kids had fun....well, until the super heroes came out.  As soon as Ashlyn caught sight of Groot she said "okay, I'm ready to go!"

They had other fun activities too - an inflatable obstacle course and a few other fun "obstacle courses" for the kids to run through.

The kids had fun with all the obstacles and did a great job avoiding all of the scary superheroes :)  We even snuck out the back door when we left...

It's getting cold here!  Jason has started winterizing the chicken coop to keep our ladies comfortable through the winter.  He's caulked their window to reduce any drafts and hooked up the heat lamp so we can give them a little artificial light through the winter to help with egg production.  Hoping to get a post up about everything we're doing soon!

Hope everyone had a great week!  Stay warm!!
