Easter 2015 Recap

This year for Easter we were actually home.  I don't think, since Jason and I have been together, that we've spent an Easter at our (or our in-laws) house.  Last year we spent the day driving home from South Carolina, one day after Jason's older brother got married.  Every other year we've spent Easter at my grandparent's farm in Ohio.  That's where I spent all of my Easter Sundays as a child too.

This year we decided to stay home and have my in-laws over for dinner.  Very low-key and easy.  My kind of holiday!

We spent the morning going through Easter baskets and playing outside.  Jason took the kids to a park to run around while I got busy in the kitchen getting food ready for our feast.  Once the kids got back we frosted and decorated cookies.  And, of course, we had to give them a taste test!

After lunch, the kids took a nap and Jason and I  the Easter Bunny hid eggs in our backyard.  We decided to do an egg hunt in the afternoon so that my in-laws could be a part of it too.  The kids had so much fun hunting for eggs!  We've got lots of good places to hide them in our yard.
And we may or may not be still finding some.

Dinner was amazing, if I do say so myself (and I do).  Dessert was pretty darn tasty too.

After dinner we headed back outside to try and burn some of the sugar off and look for frogs.

Overall, it was a great, low-key, relaxing holiday.  I don't know about you, but that doesn't happen too much these days!
