Free February - Recap

Remember me???
Yeah, probably not. 
I've been on a blogging hiatus.  No good reason really....other than life, sicknesses, busyness, you know, the usual. 
But, I'm back!  Hopefully for more than just this post :)
You may remember that we decided to make February free of all processed foods.  Basically, if I couldn't make it, we (as in Jason and I) couldn't eat it.  For the most part the kids were a part of our plan too, at least for meals. 
I'm proud to report that we did amazing!  Jason did have to travel out of town for work for a few days, but he made the healthiest choices one could make.  Chose restaurants that focused on real food and even packed some food from home to take with him.  So proud of that guy!
I, on the other hand, only cheated once.  I went to the movies with one of my best friends and I just couldn't pass up the popcorn.  I did, however bring a water bottle (with water!) with me, so none of that yucky carbonated crap for me to drink :)
Now, halfway through March, we are - for the most part - continuing with our non-processed eating.  We are back to dining out, but that is, at most, once per week.  (After cooking 3 meals per day for 28 days I gladly welcomed that change!).  We are still snacking mainly on fruits, veggies and nuts.  We feel better and are starting to look better too :)
