Friday Faves!

Phew!  Another week down!  This one went waaaaay too fast, but we've had some fun things happening this week!

[One]

The Coop is so close, guys!  Jason took this week off of work to get some things done around the house.  He has been working so hard all week.  I'm so thankful to have such a hardworking, determined and handy husband.  He's so awesome.

Yesterday, among many other things, he made our egg-gettin' doors (technical term, for sure).  It'll be so nice to be able to just open a door outside of the coop to get our eggs!

We had our first harvest this week - rhubarb!!!

I LOVE rhubarb, and rhubarb crisp is, hands down, my most favorite dessert ever.  We have a ton more coming in and the strawberries will be coming up soon, too!!

We were finally able to make it to the zoo this week!  We have a great, small zoo about 30 minutes from our house and the kids and I try and go about once a week in the summer.  They love it!

(There are animals at the zoo too, but the giant ant and slide are always a big hit :)

This tree.  It's gorgeous.  Unfortunately, it's not in the greatest spot (it's in our garden) and we were all set on taking it out.  But then it did this and now we're not sure....

[Five]

My girl Marie and I kicked off our first Link Up party this week.  It's a monthly party and this month it's all about any and everything Mother's Day!  Come check it out and party with us!!

Hope you're all having a great week and your weekend is even better!

  1. We had chickens growing up, and farm fresh eggs from them are still the best eggs I've had to date. Nothing compares! Have a wonderful weekend!
