Monogrammed Key Holder

One thing we desperately needed in our house (and for our new Memory Station) was a place to hang/store our keys.  I searched a little but couldn't find a key holder that I really liked.  So, what's a girl to do?  Make her own of course!

All it took was a quick trip to Michael's and I was ready to rock!

Here's what you need:

Wooden Letter - just make sure it's at least 1/2 inch thick
Screw Hooks - I'm sure there's a more technical term, but that's what they are ;)
Paint - spray paint is easiest
Drill

Here's what you do:

Paint your letter (and your hooks if you want).  Be sure you get every angle.

Once your letter is completely painted and dry, mark where you want your hooks to go.  I chose to do six hooks, but four probably would have sufficed.  Drill into your marks with a drill bit slightly smaller than your screws.  Use your muscles!  Screw those babies in.

Voila!  Hang and admire your gorgeous handy work!

I'm linking up with the Inspire Me linky party over at Liz Marie Blogs!!
